I bet you; this is the most calming thing you will see today.
We don’t really use aluminum foil for much except packing food or cooking it. But what you are about to experience is going to blow your mind. And guess what? You can do it at home! Yes, it’s a DIY project that you are going to adore once completed.
A Japanese jeweler and Twitter user, Puchuco709, has come up with a new and creative way to make use of these thin metal leaves and the whole of Japan is obsessing over it. He takes a whole pack of the foil paper and starts taking it through the process; repeated hammering and polishing, giving it the required shape and look. It’s pretty fun to watch but very monotonous work.
So let’s find out what the whole fuss is about.
Just a regular aluminum foil ball, guys. Oh, but wait, no. Scroll down to see the actual thing!
Oh, but there is much more to it. Wait and watch.
Now here’s a perfect looking ball
It’s slow and VERY tiring work, I tell you. Not easy at all.
And I see the kids enjoy it as well.
THAT’S when the polishing starts, finally!
Pretty neat, isn’t it? Not the final look, though.
It requires a huge amount of time and resources. Not to mention the energy invested in creating these awe-striking balls.
It somewhat looks like this…
Repeating the same dull process over and over again!
So apparently everybody on the Internet loves this DIY project at the moment.
And it’s pretty clear why.
I mean, just look at it! Doesn’t that make you happy?
It’s pretty simple to make too. And you don’t need any complicated materials either. Just a pack of aluminum foil, some metal polish and a couple of tools will do. Easy peasy, right?
Don’t forget the tiresome and boring hours you are going to spend on it, though. But who cares about that when you have the end-product looking like this, right?

Here’s a whole video of the mastermind creating the magic ball if you want to try it at home. (And you definitely should)
This is how people responded to the amazing DIY project.

I wouldn’t call it a waste of time.
