1. A Feat Of Feet
Hey, you know what’s kind of gross? Feet are kind of gross. If you’re a normal person, that’s probably what you think. They’re weird, you walk on them and put shoes on them. There’s also obviously the other people, who fall into two different camps. Some people like feet, er, a little too much. Then there’s people that are so grossed out by feet that we wonder how they even look down at their own.
If you have a normal reaction to feet, you probably still think they’re a little weird. And these feet are no exception. Well, that’s actually not true. They’re quite exceptional.
On the Taiwanese website Dcard, this woman’s feet have become quite a sensation. From this picture, you might not be able to tell why. That looks like a fairly normal foot. They’re standing on their tiptoes. Nice.
2. Toe Tapper
With this picture, though, you can tell that not everything is completely normal.
Yes, this is in fact the same foot. Notice something a little different about this foot? Yeah, the toes are really, really long. We bet that if they ever go in for a pedicure, they’re a little bit surprised. Green polish makes your feet look smaller, right? Well, what kind of polish disguises these feet?
No polish, that’s what. And no polish should. These feet are a wonder to behold. Except finding shoes that fit might be a little more difficult than for the normal foot.
3. Not Hands
The excitement over her feet started with this photo. She asked people if they thought this picture showed her hands or her feet. While they’re clearly feet, the toe length threw some people off. We wonder if she’s ever taken up rock climbing. Or maybe piano playing. With her feet.
4. Foot Or Hand
She also offered a side-by-side comparison between her hand and her foot. While the toes aren’t actually as long as her fingers, they’re much closer in size than most people’s phalanges.
5. Small Person, Big Toes
The woman, who goes to Tunghai University, says she is 4’11” and her toes are not proportionate to her height. Her longest toes are the the second toes on each foot, which come in at two inches.
6. Morton’s Toe
She points out that her kind of foot is sometimes called a Greek foot, or Morton’s toe. This is when the second toe is longer than the big toe. But in her case, the other toes are quite long as well.
7. Facebook Users Share
After seeing the article posted on Dcard’s Facebook page, some users shared pictures of their own long toes. It seems like these two could be related.
8. Being Bizarre
The woman said, “When I was young, I thought they were normal toes. When I first saw other people’s toes, I thought ‘how come their toes are so short?’ As I grew up, I realised I was the bizarre one after all.”
9. Grateful
But now, she’s grateful for the support she’s gotten from her post, and for people sharing pictures of their own long toes. It makes her feel like she’s not alone. The post on Dcard’s Facebook wound up getting thousands of likes.
10. Extra Hands
