Eminem lashes out at Trump again, says ‘a turd would be a better president’

It’s barely been three months since Eminem verbally eviscerated Donald Trump in a no-holds-barred four-minute freestyle rap at the BET Hip Hop Awards. But looks like that was just a first taste because Slim Shady is at it again, but this time without the restraint of four-by-four bars!

In a scathing a blistering and profanity-laden (no surprises there — it’s Eminem after all) critique of the US president in a wide-ranging interview with Billboard magazine, which was published on Thursday, Eminem expressed his contempt for Trump saying, “I know that Hillary [Clinton] had her flaws, but you know what? Anything would have been better [than Trump]. A f***ing turd would have been better as a president.”

When asked about his account of what he felt on election night 2016, the Lose Yourself singer says he predicted that Trump would win. “Watching the TV in fucking disbelief. I was in my basement, on the phone back and forth with friends like, ‘He’s going to fucking win,”’ said the 45-year-old rapper from Detroit.

“I called it just from the rallies he was having when he first started running. Because just watching the impact he has, they were fanatics. There is something to be said about the person who really felt like he might do something for them — and he just f***ing duped everybody,” he continued.

Eminem, whose body of work is mostly confessional and self-reflective, very rarely touches on politics, but has suddenly made a very vocal statement against the political turmoil of the times, which was clearly reflected in his recent come-back album, Revival. The album released last year after a five-year hiatus, his longest break between releases since a prescription pill addiction forced him to stop working on his music.

The iconic emcee recently made headlines during the BET awards last October where he broke into a four-minute freestyle rap aimed at the president, criticizing him for his stance on immigration, white supremacists, NFL protesters, gun control and natural disasters. During the verbal assault, that Eminem has titled ’The Storm’, he made an obvious reference to Trump’s ongoing war of words with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, Eminem slammed the president as ‘a kamikaze that will probably cause a nuclear holocaust.’
