Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales is a 17-year-old Mexican YouTube star who is known as ‘The Pirate of Culiacan.’ He was famous for his baby face, excessive drinking, and also for his ability to make fun of himself. But the Mexican teen was brutally gunned down after he insulted a notorious drug lord in Mexico.
Juan insulted Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as ‘El Mencho,’ when he said ‘El Mencho can suck my d**k.’ Armed assailants entered an establishment that Juan was in and brutally gunned him down. It was in a drunken video where Juan verbally attacked the dangerous drug lord. Since the capture of Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, many new drug lords have emerged and are now fighting for the top spot.
Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes is one of those new drug pins. He is arguably the most wanted man in Mexico with a five million dollar bounty for his capture. ‘El Mencho’ is the leader of the New Generation Cartel of Jalisco which is one of the new up and coming gangs that are fighting to be the new kingpin. It was during a party in a bar at Jalisco when a group of armed individuals entered the establishment and fired at Juan. 15 of the 18 bullets that were fired hit the teen and officials were able to identify his body via his tattoos. A 25-year-old employee of the bar was also shot dead as a result of the shooting.
Juan was born in the Mexican state of Sinaloa where drug cartels and kingpins are notorious for running the area. Juan grew up without ever knowing his father and mother and spent most of his childhood with his grandma. He never finished high school and began washing cars in the nearby municipality of Culiacan when he was 15. It was in this new town where he gave himself the nickname ‘The Pirate of Culiacan.’ He gained more than a million friends on Facebook and over 300,000 followers on Instagram after he reached popularity by posting videos of himself drinking until he passed out and he would often post pictures of himself poking fun at his weight.
