iPhones are pretty spectacular for a number of reasons. They’re fast, they’re easy to use and they’re constantly being updated so that we can always make the most of our smartphone experience. However, a lot of people use their smartphones for so much more than phone calls or checking Facebook on-the-go.
Despite the whole iCloud leaks, many people still use their iPhones to take nude photos of themselves, which more often than not are then sent on to a partner.

What happened to J-Law and Kate Upton has certainly made a fair few uses a little apprehensive about taking photos that leave very little to the imagination, but many still get a thrill out of taking rude scantily-clad snaps – as long as they’re kept off the iCloud!
However, it seems your private pics are still not safe, as iPhone developers have secretly created a new folder that has recently been discovered by iPhone users.

This newly discovered folder appears to be a secret “nudes” folder where Apple has somehow managed to store all your NSFW pictures.
A Twitter user recently discovered that in order to find the revealing snaps, all you have to do is search for the word “brassiere” in the Photos app and it will present you with a whole library of dirty photos taken on your phone.

So, how is this even possible? Was it really Apple’s intention to create a hidden stash of all your sexy snaps?
The funny thing is, although this feature is only recently being discovered, it has actually existed as part of the Photo app since 2016.

In fact, when Apple introduced the iPhone’s new and updated operating system iOS 11, it became possible for the phone to automatically sort images into folders based on the smartphone’s ability to recognize the contents of the images.

At the time, Apple said this about the new operating system:
“The Photos app makes it easy to find photos of an exact person, place, or thing. Advanced face recognition and computer vision technology lets you search your photos by who and what’s in them.
Photos recognizes scenes or specific objects in your photos, so you can search for things like dogs, mountains, or flowers.”
However, it said nothing about recognizing breasts and storing any photos containing breasts into a hidden folder.

The function is supposed to recognize objects, animals and places. The word “brassiere” is supposed to be one of the recognized objects, and so anything remotely sexy or revealing is stored into the “brassiere” folder.
While the Photo app recognizes an array of different objects, it doesn’t recognize the word “breasts” or any of its synonyms. Therefore any photos you take revealing your own or anyone else’s breasts will be stored under the more tame search tag of “brassiere”.

If you have taken pictures of yourself revealing your breasts, it may worry you slightly that they are being stored in a secret folder seemingly without your permission.
However, you don’t need to worry because the folder is still very much private and Apple isn’t saving them for their own purposes. You certainly don’t have to fear that Apple is publishing the pictures and making them accessible to the entire world.

The feature was simply created so that you could search for photos belonging to a certain category. For instance, if you search for “cats”, any photos of cats on your iPhone will emerge.
So folks, it really isn’t half as bad as you might think. In fact, it’s actually pretty clever and efficient. If whatever reason you want to filter your photos so that only your sexiest photos are displayed to you, then that option is totally available to you. Incredibly, Apple actually has a whopping 4,432 different category keywords to sort these pictures.
