Do you remember what being young and in love was like?
After so many years, it’s easy to become jaded and cynical. So every now and then, you come across a story of such raw and pure love that it makes you think that perhaps the naivety was worth it. You were able to love as deeply as you did, after all.
Take this teen for example. He posted in r/relationships asking for advice on how to ask out a trans girl. He had some serious and legitimate fears about going through with it, but the collective internet had his back.
It was sadly taken down because he posted the same thing in another thread, and this subreddit had rules against that. But that’s enough context, read his story!
Azure-Skies-123 is his username.

And you can tell by his writing that he’s very much in love.

Even his little brother had fantastic advice.

Reddit was emotional.

Everyone was on his side.

Some were even shocked with how well mannered both sons were!

They were eager to hear more developments.

It’s just too cute.

It got onto Twitter as well.
There is a 17yo boy on Reddit asking advice how to ask out a trans girl at school. It is absolutely heartwarming, and also he’s a really good writer? https://t.co/vPf2Ajnubn pic.twitter.com/CC3SnNssL7

UPDATE: Anyone know why the post was removed? pic.twitter.com/rQIOs81Gc0

It wasn’t just what he wrote, but how he wrote it.
r/relationships doesnt allow crossposting. someone (not op) crossposted it to a mostly empty subreddit that seems to be EXCLUSIVELY for removing posts from r/relationships, esp since the subreddit name is greek(?) for remove and, uh, pic.twitter.com/gB3LdbF4VN

People were in love with them already.
“It was like a Jack and Rose moment, except nobody was naked and neither of us died.”
This guy is going to write the next great TV sitcom. Seriously.

I am so invested in this relationship.

He’s a fantastic writer, and love makes you do that.
Seriously. I hope it’s real but if not I am buying this book. I am already placing the preorder. @millercallihan you looking for authors writing about teen trans love stories? Because I’m all in.
— Naomi Carleton (@ensie1) January 25, 2018
way ahead of you 😉

So many people wanted to see more of the two!
I wanna see the end of this story.

I think we all do!

Others gave him more advice as well.
He should just go for it. Worst case scenario he’ll know who his true friends are when the dust clears.

OH GOD I HOPE HE ASKS HER OUT SHE’S GOING TO BE A VERY HAPPY AND WELL LOVED GIRL

So wholesome, that people were willing to fight for a happy ending.
Where does this kid live? I want to drive this kid to school everyday and follow him around so no one bullies him. We need more people like this in the world

There might be hope after all.
As mama to several lgbtq kids, 1 trans, I am crying. I hope all my kids find love and support like this
