15 Texts From People Who Fully UnderstandThe Concept Of Comedy

1. ‘Dad Is Dead’
Have you ever been stuck in a conversation with someone who just really doesn’t understand humor, or how to tell a story? It’s potentially one of the worst things that can ever happen. You’re standing there, listening to how they locked themselves outside of their car, and all you can think about is how to escape the conversation. But you can’t. You’re locked in to their dry, humorless story for half an hour, and you’re screaming internally while trying to nod politely. Oh, the humanity.

This is not the situation that you will be faced with when scrolling through these posts. We want to save you from that fate, until next time when the boring storyteller has another story to tell.

Also, if you pay close attention, a lot of the people featured in these posts are dads. Maybe we don’t give dads enough credit.
This dad knows how to torture his kid. Hey, if he’s only called when an insect needs to be killed then he has a right to play some mind games. Hopefully, he won’t joke around if there’s a snake, rather than a moth, the next time around.

2. LOL
And, moms are funy too. Mom fails when it comes to text messages are nothing new. But I think this text message takes the cake for epic mom fails. Let’s use this as a lesson and make sure our mothers know what those acronyms mean. Poor mom, we know she can be funny on purpose, too. Lol.

3. Harsh
If this dad had become upset when his son asked him to buy condoms for him, then things would have continued as per usual for this kid. But for his dad to say this after asking him to buy you condoms is unpleasant. But that dad’s a winner.

4. Most Accurate
I’d say this is an accurate sum, isn’t it? This kid clearly has a sense of humor. Oh, and good values too. We think that he deserves full credit for his homework, and quite possibly a cake, too.

5. Those Damn Kids Of Ours

Bitching about your kids with your significant other is something many parents do. Call it a guilty pleasure to make up for all the sacrifices parents make. Well, these kids found out about this hobby in a not so elegant way.

6. Lauren Or Laundry?
Looks like this dad is clinging on to anything just to avoid seeing his daughter date guys. Even a spelling mistake on a text message gets him dreaming about his daughter being a lesbian.

7. TMI
You know those times when you wished you and your dad were closer? Times when you wanted to be more comfortable talking to your dad about anything? Well, this is what it looks like.

8. Just Not Having It
Sometimes we’re not the funny ones. Sometimes it’s the autocorrect which turns our text messages into laugh out loud moments. This father is clearly trying to tell his story even though autocorrect won’t let him.

9. Finding That Space Bar
Look, texting can be really hard for newbies alright. Finding the space bar is especially hard. It’s like the smallest buttons out of all the keys. Sometimes, life is hard. But it takes some skill to actually text like this, so props to him.

10. IDK
Here’s the biggest reason why we give up teaching our parents about texting. It’s because even when we do, they still don’t get it. Case in point, this text message. Ttyl! At least maybe she understands “lol.”

11. The Right Medicine
Ah, mothers. No matter what it is we’re going through, they always know the right medicine to make us feel better. Don’t they? Don’t tell your father about this. Too bad they probably already texted them about it.

12. Building A Case
It seems that no matter what medium we’re using, we can still build a case to outwit our parents. Not sure where this text message went next. But, I’m guessing this argument wasn’t enough to get some free cash.

13. Perfect Daughter
Some people throw parties. Others get the family together. For one woman, autocorrect was used to share her pregnancy news. We guess she saved some money on all the party supplies. Thanks, autocorrect.

14. WTF
Forget what you’ve ever been taught about the WTF acronym. This mother knows the real meaning of WTF. She even used it to congratulate her kid. Well, that’s fantastic. We love it. We’re using it from now on.

15. A Swiffer
Wow, autocorrect can be really dirty. But hey, maybe the husband should have turned to it for anniversary gift suggestions? Just saying…unless the mom really wanted a Swiffer. Moms want some strange stuff sometimes. Lol.
