Single Mom Receives Hateful Postcard But Neighbors Step Up To Show Their Appreciation

There are always pesky little disagreements between neighbors. When you live in such close proximity to anyone, you’ll likely bump heads once or twice. Though one individual from Colorado took it too far by sending a postcard filled with a hateful message to one of their neighbors.
Denver resident Ayrielle is a single mother. She was the recipient of the message which attacked her on many fronts. It was not only hurtful because of its message, but its method was immature. Instead of addressing their concern in a balanced and adult way, the neighbor chose to cowardly hide behind an anonymous postcard.
Ayrielle lives in the Harvey Park neighborhood. She says she loves living there with her son for a number of reasons. According to her, “Harvey Park is a great neighborhood, it’s got great schools, great people, it’s filled with a lot of different activities, like the Harvey Park festival, libraries that have all kinds of kids programs.”
For this reason, the single mother was shocked and confused when she received the message in her mailbox. The postcard contained many negative and disparaging comments aimed her character. The sender of the postcard also apparently took issue with the single mother’s lawn.

The postcard read, “Your yard is an embarrassment to the neighborhood.” Ayrielle was surprised because no one had ever expressed this kind of contempt to her in person.

Upset and disappointed, she decided to share the postcard and her experience on Facebook to express her thoughts and how she the message made her feel. She explained why she was so upset by what was written.

The sender of the postcard could not have been more wrong about Ayrielle. Their comments about her were misinformed to an extreme. She is a hardworking single mother who works three jobs.
