This show is what made “Socially Awkward Nerds” a thing to yearn for if they are as cool as Sheldon or Leonard. But you are not their truest fan if you not aware of the mind-blowing secrets about the big bang theory.

1.The Musically inclined cast
Whether it be the Theremin played by Sheldon or the harp played by Amy, they actually learned to play the instruments. So, next time you see Sheldon with theremin, be awed by his skill levels as he, unlike others, is not faking it. Such dedication!
2. Penny was never supposed to exist.
Horrifying to even imagine, but initially, Penny wasn’t supposed to be a part of the big bang theory. There was a character, “Katie” played by Amanda Walsh, a much tougher and not-so-fun persona character whom the audience didn’t take too well.
3. Leonard has no glass in his specs!
Look close enough and concentrate hard, you’ll find that his frames are actually not supporting any glass.
4.The mousy voice Bernadette has is made-up
She would have been murdered by now for having that annoying voice. Melissa Rauch, the actress who plays Bernadette, actually fakes it to enhance her character in the big bang theory.
5. There are not “floors” just a floor.
The elevator dinging and opening at different floors, well it’s a hoax. They just redecorate the same floor to make it look different.
6. Origins of “Soft Kitty” revealed.
Actually sued for using that song, Bill Prady lifted that song from his daughter’s pre-school songs. Edith Newlin, a teacher who wrote the song “Warm Kitty” in 1937, claims that “Soft Kitty” has striking similarities to his work.
7.Not everyone is a pretend scholar on the show
There are plenty of PhD holders on the big bang theory, but Mayim Bialik is the only one who actually has it in reality. A neuroscientist in the past, she received it for her research into the hypothalamic activity in patients with Prader–Willi syndrome.
8.Jim Parson is the perfectionist after all
He has such good acting skills that he was given the role in his second audition itself.
9.The origins of the phrase “Bazinga.”
This word was uttered by writer Stephen Engel, every time anyone would fall for his practical jokes. “Gotcha,” is the sentiment the word bazinga exudes. Now we know

10. In fact, a species of bees have been named after Sheldon’s favourite catchphrase itself.
Euglossa Bazinga, discovered by a Brazilian scientist in 2013, who named them after the catchphrase. Sheldon must be thrilled, after all, bees are his third favourite flying creatures.
11. I-know-everything-about-Star Trek has actually never seen it
The level of knowledge displayed by Sheldon though, the way he says it leaves us feeling that he must be a big fan in real life. Neither has he seen “Dr Who.”
12. A sexually over-active Sheldon, wait, WHAT?
The pilot episode showed him to be really into romantic antics and flirtatious behaviour, hooking up and all. But that’s not what the episodes of the big bang theory after that followed. Hard to imagine a sexually active Sheldon, no go away, don’t wanna!
13. Concentrate on his shirt, they would tell you his current emotions.
The creators of the show included this little cue that the colour of Sheldon’s shirt reflects his emotions as it happens in comics where the character wears colours that suit his mood.
14. The reel life love was real life too.
The “Lenny-Penny Love” extended beyond the story in the series, the actors dated for a considerable time during the first few seasons of the big bang theory. So not that much acting involved in the romance between Lenny- and Penny, eh?
Well, it explains this scene, where Penny professes her love for Leonard, which was filmed in one take! Good acting plus real chemistry does that.
15. Copycat copycat copycat!
“The Theorists,” a show that originated back in 2010, was a copied version of the original American version. And once the actors on that “copycatted” version became aware of the fact, they quit the show.
